Poulton Remedial Services - Thermal Movement

This block of flats in Eastbourne has been affected by moisture induced thermal expansion and it was considered that the cracking was longstanding and non-progressive. The Helifix crack stitch system was used, Helibars were installed at 450mm centres, 500mm either side of the corner to the full height of the building.

This property in Elephant & Castle was affected by thermal expansion. The brick panels expanded between the concrete frame causing lateral movement at slip brick level. A combination of Horizontal expansion joints, tieing of the slip bricks and Helifix Dry Fix Wall tie Installation was used to restore stability.
